Privacy Policy Effective Date: March 13, 2026 Last Updated: March 13, 2026 SnapJack (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SnapJack mobile application and website at https://snapjack.app (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. --- 1. Information We Collect 1.1 Account Information When you create an account, we collect: - Name and email address (via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email) - Username (chosen during onboarding) - Profile emoji (assigned or chosen) - Authentication tokens from Google or Apple (we do not store your passwords) 1.2 Game and Activity Data When you use the Service, we collect: - Game session data — buy-ins, cash-outs, rebuys, game dates, duration, and results - League data — league membership, role (host/admin/member), league statistics - Rating data — your Glicko-2 skill rating, tier, and rating history - Settlement data — who owes whom, payment confirmations, settlement history - Statistics — win rate, profit/loss, streaks, attendance, head-to-head records - Activity data — when you use the app, session duration, feature usage patterns 1.3 Social Data - Friend relationships — your friends list, friend requests, mutual friends - Player search queries — when searching for other users - Invitation data — invite links you create or accept 1.4 Payment Information - Subscription data — your subscription tier, purchase date, renewal status - We do not directly store credit card numbers or payment credentials. All payments are processed by Apple (via the App Store) or RevenueCat. See Section 4. 1.5 Payment Preferences - Venmo handle — if you choose to add one for settlement convenience - Preferred payment methods — your settlement preferences 1.6 Device and Technical Data - Device information — device type, operating system, app version - Push notification tokens — to deliver notifications to your device - IP address — collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure - Push delivery receipts — to monitor notification delivery success 1.7 Data We Do NOT Collect - We do not collect precise GPS location data - We do not collect contacts or phone numbers - We do not collect financial account details (bank accounts, card numbers) - We do not track you across other apps or websites --- 2. How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect to: - Provide the Service (account, game, league, settlement, rating data) - Send notifications (push tokens, activity data) - Calculate statistics and rankings (game results, rating data) - Process subscriptions (payment and subscription data) - Improve the Service (usage patterns, technical data) - Prevent fraud and abuse (IP address, activity patterns) - Respond to support requests (account information, activity data) We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. --- 3. How We Share Your Information 3.1 With Other Users Certain information is visible to other SnapJack users: - Your username, profile emoji, and rating tier are visible to anyone who searches for you - Your game results and statistics are visible to other players in your leagues and games - Your friends list may be partially visible to mutual friends - Your league membership is visible to other league members 3.2 With Service Providers We share limited data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service: - Google — Authentication (email, name via OAuth) - Apple — Authentication + payments (email, name via Sign-In; payment via App Store) - RevenueCat — Subscription management (user ID, subscription status) - Expo (Expo Notifications) — Push notification delivery (device push tokens, notification content) - Vercel — Web hosting (IP address, request logs) - MongoDB Atlas — Data storage (all Service data, encrypted at rest) These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes. 3.3 We Do NOT - Sell your personal information - Share your data with advertisers - Share your financial game data (buy-ins, profits) outside of your leagues and games - Share your Venmo handle with anyone outside your settlement group 3.4 Legal Requirements We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SnapJack, our users, or the public. --- 4. Subscriptions and Payments 4.1 iOS Purchases Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your payment method. Apple’s privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information. 4.2 RevenueCat We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements across platforms. RevenueCat receives your anonymized user ID and subscription status. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/ 4.3 Subscription Terms - Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period - iOS: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Manage via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. - Current pricing: Premium: $8.99/month or $69.99/year - Refunds for iOS purchases are handled by Apple per their refund policy (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084) - Refunds for web purchases: contact support@snapjack.app within 7 days of purchase --- 5. Data Retention - We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active - Push notification receipts are retained for 90 days - Settlement history is retained indefinitely for record-keeping - League feed entries are retained for 6 months (TTL auto-expiry) - If you delete your account (see Section 7), your data is anonymized — your personal information is removed but anonymized game records are retained to maintain league and game integrity for other users --- 6. Data Security We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including: - Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) - Encrypted data storage at rest - Secure authentication via OAuth 2.0 (Google, Apple) - Access controls limiting who can access user data - No plain-text storage of sensitive credentials No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data. --- 7. Your Rights 7.1 All Users You have the right to: - Access your personal data — available through your profile and settings - Correct your personal data — update your username, email, or profile - Delete your account — available in app Settings. Your personal data will be anonymized. See Section 5. - Export your data — contact us at support@snapjack.app 7.2 European Economic Area (EEA) Users — GDPR If you are located in the EEA, you additionally have the right to: - Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format - Restrict processing — request we limit how we use your data - Object to processing — object to processing based on legitimate interests - Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent - Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority Our legal basis for processing your data is: - Contract performance — to provide the Service you signed up for - Legitimate interests — to improve and secure the Service - Consent — for optional features like push notifications 7.3 California Users — CCPA If you are a California resident, you have the right to: - Know what personal information we collect and how we use it - Request deletion of your personal information - Opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell your data - Non-discrimination for exercising your rights --- 8. Children’s Privacy SnapJack is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a user under 18, we will promptly delete that information. --- 9. International Data Transfers SnapJack is operated from California, United States. Your data may be processed and stored in the United States (Vercel, MongoDB Atlas) and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. --- 10. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. --- 11.
